EXCELLENT Based on 7 reviews Posted on Klaudia CastonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. A group of friends and I joined the 1 hour Samurai experience in Nagano. Kei was a great Sensei for our experience and created a light and fun feel. With lots of history and fun facts about the samurai history. Kei was amazing and made the evening very special for us. I would highly recommend!!! And hoping to join again at some point in the near future.Posted on Robert WatsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have recently returned from a trip to Japan. While the whole trip was an amazing experience, one of the true highlights was the Samurai Experience. We had a private lesson for our family after visiting the Zenkoni Temple. The lesson started with putting on Samurai outfits - yukata and hakama- and then choosing our sword. We learned about samurais, and learned how to draw the sword, strike poses, various attacks and defensive moves. We have lots of photos and videos of our experience and it is amazing to see both the concentration we had during the lesson but also the fun and genuine smiles it brought to our faces. The lesson was in an authentic house and we felt like we were in a scene from Kill Bill. I would highly recommend this activity and Then the tour of Zenkoni Temple. We had the opportunity to see the temple in both daylight and at sunset during the special lantern festival. Something not to be missed!Posted on Louise PhinneyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolutely loved the Samurai Sword experience with Miharu-sensei. We learned a lot of history which was fascinating and then learned the three main ways to use the sword and had a one on one practice with Miharu-sensei who was fabulous, she was very patient, had a great sense of humour but also was very serious about the Samurai traditions and answered all our questions. An interpreter was available. Would highly recommend this experience and would love to do it again!Posted on Stacey SocholotukTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Highly recommended and fun experience. Miharu -sensei was patient and encouraging, had a fun sense of humor and eagerly answered even our strangest questions (what did they wear under the samurai outfits??). We were able to dress in traditional garb and taken through three basic moves that we then put into sequence within about an hour. Photos were possible and an interpreter was there to help explain everything. Booked a walking tour of Zenkoji temple in Nagano with Nagano experience and can recommend. We explored the streets of Nagano, saw a local ex-sake brewery, gained insights into Zenkoji and its history and tried some local food. Our guide finished the tour with a recommendation for a Nagano restaurant which turned out to be a top five ramen bowl from our trip.Posted on Solène RevolTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Thanks to the host and the amazing dynamic & kind samouraï I could ask a lot of questions, practice mouvement as a debutant and learn the basics. I recommend their services in Nagano & Matsumoto as they are operating in both area! Lucky me, my lesson was completely private, I had a full 1-1 experience with the help of the company to translate the Japanese for me. Also French was available :)

Discover more of the region by adding Matsumoto to your itinerary! Known for its iconic castle, charming castle town streets, and surrounding alpine scenery, the city offers history, culture, and nature all in one place. Just a short trip from Nagano, this castle town is a must-see in the region.
